EDUBOTS by University Kebangsaan Malaysia

EDUBOTS is the latest brainchild launched by a group of students from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia ( UKM ) and officiated by the deputy minister of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation ( MOSTI ), Datuk Wira Dr. Abu Bakar Muhamd Diah on 11th March 2017 in UKM.

The main objective of the program is that through this initiative, the group would like to prepare the future generations for 21st century challenges who appreciate scientific knowledge and technical skills. With this program, they hope to produce future leaders who are well-equipped with valuable skills relevant to STEM.

And we are proud that the program chose our new programmable robot, rero Jr. as their teaching tool to teach STEM education to school students!

60 students from UKM involved in this program were trained to become Jr Facilitators and they are now ready to teach in 4 selected schools, namely SMK Bandar Seri Putra, SMK Jalan Empat,

SMK Bandar Baru Bangi, SMK Seri Menanti Muar where about 400 students will benefit from this program. The program is scheduled to wrap in mid-May.

Exciting times ahead!
