To Empower Teachers & Student Leaders to Bring Robotics and Coding to the Masses

Introduction:

In line with MDEC #mydigitalmaker movement and MOE’s initiatives to transform Malaysian youth from digital users to producers in the digital economy, rero Edu Team will continue with our initiatives to bring robotics and coding to the masses. This year, we will be running rero workshops, training camps and competitions at state and national levels (both online and offline) in our effort to engage more teachers and students. In addition, we will train more teachers to be instructors and mentor student leaders to be facilitators so that they in turn can impact their circle of influence by conducting activities and competitions at the school level.

As part of our initiative to give back to the community, we have also launched “Cytron for Cikgu” program to benefit educators throughout Malaysia. This program is open to all schools and registration is free. Registered members can have free access to our online resources (tutorials, modules and technical support) and enjoy special educator privileges such as free shipping. For more information and to apply, please visit www.cytron.io/cytron-for-cikgu-program

*Cytron Technologies is a local tech company that designs, manufactures and distributes electronic and educational robotic products such as rero Educational Robotics Kit and Maker UNO (Arduino-UNO compatible) kit. **rero Edu team is the education arm of Cytron Technologies.

Aims and Objectives:

The overall aim of this programme is to enhance interest in STEM education by introducing robotics and coding to students. Our objectives are as follows:-
1) To introduce robotics and coding to more students.
2) To train teachers and student leaders to be certified instructors/facilitators.
3) To provide students with access to robotics kit and education.
4) To provide opportunities for more students to participate in robotics and coding competitions.
